WOMEN’S LUNCHEON RAISES $20,000
The event celebrated the girl child and to mark the occasion CH initiated the first Woman of Distinction Award, to recognize a woman whose life is perfectly in balance. This year’s honoree, Tinku Jain, media personality and philanthropist, was presented the award by Chitra Sarkar, the Regional Director of Air India.
Tinku Jain spoke eloquently about her many roles as career woman, wife, mother and supporter of social causes. The proceeds from this event were graciously matched by the Jain Family to benefit the girl child.
The luncheon gave guests the opportunity to catch up with friends and also to shop for a cause, as noted designer Renu Tandon of Mynah had brought in her collection and jewelers Art Karat and Ritu Sehgal of Ritu’s Collection also showcased their best. There was entertainment by Sunita Sadhnani of Bollywood Arts and Perry Walia. Now where can you have so much fun while doing so much good?
